Caro van de Venne is the founder of NUDUS. As a partner architect, she is renowned for her expertise in managing integrated projects, where her leadership and innovative strategies play a central role. Caro’s strength lies in her ability to merge advanced designs with viable technical solutions.She stands out in coordinating multidisciplinary projects, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between specialists, clients, and end-users to achieve high-quality design outcomes. Caro’s approach not only focuses on aesthetic and functional excellence but also incorporates sustainable practices, demonstrating her commitment to responsible and impactful architecture.

Among her notable responsibilities are projects such as Oopen in Utrecht, the large-scale renovation and transformation of the Palace of Justice in The Hague, the design of the iconic residential tower The Muse and the adjacent triangular tower CasaNova, which together form an ensemble in Rotterdam’s Wijnhaven; the master plan and three educational buildings for the new Fontys University of Applied Sciences campus in Eindhoven; the urban development plan for the new Utrecht Science Park; Brainport Industry Campus in Eindhoven; and the design for a new Matrix Innovation Center on the Zuidas focused on med-tech and life sciences.
Caro is the supervisor for the transformation project Sloterdijk I South in Amsterdam, a member of the Board of Commissioners of Fellenoord B.V. in Eindhoven, a member of the quality team for the Merwedekanaalzone, and a board member of the High-Rise Foundation. She served as a guest lecturer at the Technical University of Delft, the Technical University of Eindhoven, the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam, and Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg. Caro also regularly delivers lectures on her projects both nationally and internationally.
Caro studied at the London School of Economics, the Eindhoven University of Technology, and the Technical University of Berlin. Prior to her partnership at NUDUS, she was a co-founder and partner at Barcode Architects (2010-2023). Before that, she worked for Herzog & de Meuron in Basel and Foster + Partners in London.
