CitrusClub Festival

A successful activation!
We often talk about the importance of places that bring people together. CitrusClub Festival was our way of putting that belief into practice.
On Saturday, 27th of June, we opened the doors of the Citrusveiling and invited people to experience a building that is usually closed to the public. Even on one of the hottest days of the year, it filled with movement, conversations, music, architecture and plenty of curious faces.

For one afternoon, the Citrusveiling revealed another possibility. Boxing, yoga, exhibitions, talks, making and music unfolded side by side, bringing together different people, stories and perspectives. Strangers met, conversations started, and the building showed what it can become when filled with people and activity, reclaiming its place in the city.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited, contributed, collaborated and helped bring the day to life. To our partners, participants, volunteers and everyone who embraced the idea with us: thank you.
Here’s to opening more doors.
At the centre of the festival was Stress Relief: the colourful boxing ring installation by HyperSity and VOLUME, originally created for the Architecture Biennale of Shenzhen. Inside the ring, RBV Crooswijk hosted a series of free boxing clinics, while VOLUME celebrated the launch of VOLUME 69: Stress Companion with talks and short interventions during the afternoon.

The CitrusClub Festival was an initiative by Nudus in collaboration with
Nieuwe Instituut, Volume Magazine and de Mannen van Schuim.
Special thanks to our network of local partners (Buurman, Stadshavenbrouwerij, Aida Yoga, RBV Crooswijk, Theemas,…) and our enthusiastic volunteers.
