We’ve worked closely with ASML, the Municipality of Eindhoven, and Sweco Architects on the preliminary urban development framework (VOSP) for a potential expansion of ASML at the north side of Brainport Industries Campus.
The publication of the preliminary plan sets the foundation for a meaningful dialogue with the city and surrounding community. The plan focuses not only on enabling future growth in the high-tech sector, but also on embedding this growth carefully in the existing landscape of BIC and the Brainport region.
Key components of the preliminary urban plan include:
→ Approx. 20,000 workplaces.
→ Around 428,000 m² GFA for production, logistics and supporting functions such as offices.
→ 4,200+ bicycle parking spaces.
→ Two parking garages and a direct connection to the future Brainport public transport line.
→ A prominent role for the Ekkersrijt green corridor and high ambitions for sustainability.
→ Touchpoints: public spaces that enable interaction between companies, knowledge institutions, and the broader community.
We are thankful to ASML that they invited us as urban design team, to work on this ambitious project.
We look forward to the conversations ahead. Participation with local residents, neighbouring businesses and other stakeholders started last week with the publication of this VOSP.
